Hey guys, took me forever to update, I know, but the Case class went really well! I was told by my teachers that I was the most motivated one in the class, and I did a very good job. It was a really good time. I took a lot from that class, including knowledge and experience with programs like Reason and a little more experience than I already had with Audition. Being a ninja, I've been coding like the wind, shuriken in hand. my group's final project was awesome, and we blew the competition away. Ours got a 100% A+, and it was worth 30% of our grade!!! It was totally great. :)

Alright, well orientation for my Case game design class is tomorrow, and I've been stocking up on graphics and sound libraries, source code for useful little programs, and apps and IDEs for developing things. We have to be proficient in one major language, such as C/C++, Java, Python, etc. I took a C++ class already, so I meet the prerequisites of the program. I have the Visual Studio 2005 C++ Express Edition, which we used almost exclusively in the C++ class.
I have the book "Dive Into Python" by Mark Pilgrim, and I'd like to learn Python too, as a secondary language. I've got the C++ aspect pretty well covered, but I need some suggestions, tool/utility- and source code/library-wise for Python. I'll be developing on Windows machines for the extent of the class.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good libraries, source code examples, utilities/apps/IDEs, or anything of that nature for either C++ or Python? I'd love some advice or suggestions, so don't hesitate to drop me an email at ck [dot] bitninja [at] gmail [dot] com or leave a comment on this post. Thanks a million!

Yep, that's right, I'm taking a game design class at Case Western. Should be great fun. I took an honors intro to C++ class there last summer, and this is the next step up. I and my classmates get to work in the state-of-the-art virtual worlds lab built specifically for this purpose! :) Orientation is Sunday, and class starts Monday. It goes for three weeks and then I'm done! Voila!
Good times.
bitninja out!
Gotta have me my Pownce! I got invited the day the Mashable post surfaced, so I had a chance to test it out. I like it. A lot. Given I've never used Twitter, I can't compare the two, but I do know that Pownce feels cooler to me. Kevin Rose is officially my hero. :) If you happen to need an invite, I've got a few left, and I'm sure the people in the comments of the Mashable post would be willing to send you one too.
Gotta pownce! I mean...bounce.
